The Corinthians will certainly be proud of this data. The fans of another team will find the justification to explain their annoyance with the excess of space granted to the club, which won, last Sunday, 16, the two-time championship at the FIFA Club World Cup.

According to a survey of Competition Control, between December 3 and 18, the five major open stations in Brazil (Globo, Bandeirantes, Record, SBT and RedeTV) dedicated more than 96 hours to talk about Corinthians. The analysis contemplates the pre-game phase (when the broadcasters highlighted the Corinthian invasion, showing details of the journey of tens of millions of fans who crossed the world to accompany the tournament in Japan), the matches (semifinal and final), and the post-game (with the details of the celebration and the party in Japan and later the arrival of the champion delegation to the country).
According to Competition Control, the station that gave the most space to Corinthians during this period was the Band, which totaled 39 hours and 14 minutes to the team (between game broadcasts and journalistic coverage). The Globe also left its screen in black and white for a long time. It was 27 hours and 7 minutes to show the Corinthian invasion, the victory and the alvinegra party. For being the two broadcasters that own the broadcasting rights of the FIFA Club World Cup, Band and Globo were the ones that most included the team in their programming.
The rest, however, did not leave aside the Corinthian euphoria. The Record news coverage earned more than 15 hours of exposure to the club. RedeTV also made a large coverage, whose sum yielded more than 10 hours of material on the Corinthians. Among them, the SBT was the station that gave the team the least space: it was 5 hours and 9 minutes.
