A Arena Corinthians começa a passar pelas obras para implantação do gramado.

Obras para implantação do gramado já começaram

A Arena Corinthians começa a passar pelas obras para implantação do gramado. Os serviços de escavação foram iniciados na área central do futuro estádio. Utilizando escavadeiras hidráulicas e caminhões, os operários começaram pelo centro do campo retirando a placa que marcava o exato local onde será dado, no dia 12 de junho de 2014, o pontapé inicial da Copa do Mundo.

Em seguida, o equipamento passou a escavar o lado sudoeste do futuro campo, bem na marca do escanteio. A estimativa é que serão retirados 6 mil metros cúbicos de terra. Com isso, o piso atual será rebaixado em cerca de 70 centímetros. Esse material será utilizado para aterrar outras áreas.Após a escavação, começarão a ser instalados os sistemas de drenagem a vácuo e de resfriamento da grama. Esse resfriamento é necessário porque o gramado é de inverno e precisará do tratamento para suportar as altas temperaturas do próximo verão e, assim, possa estar perfeito quando o Mundial começar.

Em seguida, após a colocação de camadas de britas e areia, inicia-se a semeadura da grama, o que deverá ocorrer no final de maio. Em julho, o gramado estará praticamente pronto, mas não para o uso, sendo preciso um período de maturação pós-plantio de cerca de 90 dias, período em que haverá poda, irrigação, adubação, controle de pragas e doenças, entre outros trabalhos. Todo automatizado, o sistema de irrigação contará com 48 aspersores, com acionamento individual, permitindo irrigar partes diferentes do gramado, de acordo com as necessidades.
