fifth of the Association ranking

The Sport Club Corinthians Paulista was invited to participate in the 10th General Assembly of the Club Association of Europe, which will take place in Doha, Qatar, on 5 and 6 February. Elie Werdo, Vice President of the Club, and Edu Gaspar, Football Manager, will represent Timão in the two-day event.
In the five years of existence of the Club Association of Europe, this is the first Assembly that will also be open to teams from outside the European continent. In addition to Corinthians, Boca Juniors and Santos are the South American teams that have already confirmed their presence.
The European Club Association was founded in January 2008 and is recognized by FIFA and UEFA. The entity brings together 207 teams from 53 different European confederations. In the current ranking, the leaders are: Barcelona, first; Bayern Munich, second; Manchester United, third; Real Madrid, fourth; and Chelsea, fifth.
