Atlético Sorocaba announced on the afternoon of Monday the hiring of striker Ewerthon, who was unemployed, for the competition of the Paulista Championship 2014.
Formed in the base categories of Corinthians, where he was two Brazilian champions (1998 and 1999), two São Paulo champion (1999 and 2001) and world champion (2000), Ewerthon also had a good time in Germany, where he was national champion with Borussia Dortmund and also defended Stuttgart.
Still in Europe, the attacker played in two Spanish clubs: Real Zaragoza and Espanyol. In Brazil, he also played for the archrival of the Corinthians, Palmeiras.
After that, Ewerthon passed the unknown FC Terek Grozny of Chechnya, and Al Ahli of Qatar. His last club was America-MG and, since November 2012, he sought a new job.
At Atlético Sorocaba, Ewerthon will have the opportunity to reissue Palmeiras' attack duo in 2010, alongside Lenny. In recent months, to stay in shape while seeking a new club, the athlete attended a gym in São Paulo.
In addition to the titles as a professional, Ewerthon also won a São Paulo Junior Football Cup in 1999 with Corinthians. That year, he received the tournament's unveiling award. Atlético Sorocaba will debut at the Paulista Championship next Saturday, against Rio Claro, outside the house.
