On Thursday night, former trainer Mário Travaglini, who performed successful works in Palmeiras, Corinthians, Vasco and Fluminense, died. At the age of 81, he was admitted to the hospital São Camilo, in the Pompeii neighborhood, in São Paulo, since January 26.
Information on the death of the former trainer was confirmed by the hospital's press office. The cause of death has not yet been released, but a medical bulletin should be published early on Friday.
In his resume as a coach, Travaglini became Brazilian champion for Palmeiras in 1967, and Vasco in 1974. He even raised state cups for Fluminense and Corinthians.
In the state of the alvinegro team in São Paulo, the former technician commanded the team that became known as Corintian Democracy.
In addition to all his achievements, he became known as a ‘revolutionary’ in football, considered one of the responsible for introducing the concept of modern football.
