The Corinthians had the opportunity to release another player from their cast last week. Bahia tried to loan the half Rodriguinho, but heard a negative response from Timão, who intends to keep the 25-year-old player in the cast of Mano Menezes.

The contact of the Bahian team was made by William Machado, the ‘Capita’, former Corinthians player and currently Tricolor football director. He was personally at CT Joaquim Grava last Friday and expressed interest in taking the Corinthians.

The fact that Rodriguinho did not have a year of São Jorge Park – he was hired in October last year – made the board refuse the investee. To get the player out of America-MG, Timão invested high and paid R$ Four million.

The sock began the season as a holder and was one of the bets of the Corinthian commander. However, after poor performances, he has lost space and has gained few opportunities since then. Last Saturday, in Corinthians' victory over the Claro River, he entered the field in the final minutes.

Debt with America-MG settled

Rodriguinho's purchase generated some controversy in Timão. During the negotiations, it was agreed that the São Paulo club would pay the R$ 4 million in four tranches of R$ One million. With financial problems at the beginning of the season, the alvinegros were in debt to the miners for a few months. The debt, however, has already been sanctioned.
