At the age of 16, attacker Malcolm has been living two completely different routines since he was promoted to the Corinthians professional team, just over a month ago. Asked by Mano Menezes and even used in the last games of the team, the boy wants to learn a lot from the older ones. Set, he already manages to play with the situations of the team and manage well in collective interviews, with the sincerity of a boy who has not yet been absorbed by the empty speech of many professional players.
This Monday, he was chosen to talk to journalists. Even shy, he did not hesitate to talk about his new moment, the harassment in high school, the tattoos he wants to make and the friendships that arise with the most consecrated players. In addition, Malcolm revealed a special work to gain muscle mass.
Since the end of February, the attacker has had the diet supplemented with doses of creatine and whey protein, substances that help in this mass gain. He's four kilos older than at the beginning of his diet.
– You have all this for me, because it's to help my growth. I'm taking it all right and I'm hoping to grow up. I arrived at 61, now I am 65kg – said Malcolm.
The easy smile – with braces – makes the attacker a sympathetic figure. Still crawling in the professionals, he tries to reconcile his training with his studies. A second year high school student, Malcolm learned to live with female harassment, which increased. However, he has a girlfriend and guarantees to be faithful. Names like striker Paolo Guerrero and quarterback Gil gave the rookie tips.
– I don't go to school much, but people look at me differently, there are girls who never talked to you and today they come. I have to stay fast. Here I'm Gil's partner, they say I'm his son, and then he gives me some tips – played the attacker.
– The other day I asked Guerrero for an autographed shirt to give to a friend of mine's sister, he asked if it was my "picket." He said no – he completed.
Malcolm is also a fan of tattoos. He has a football tattooed on his left foot – "blame" on his mother, who said he had the ball stuck to his feet since birth. Now he wants two more in his arms, honors his grandparents Edson and Sonia, and one with her mother's face stamped on its back. Rather, however, he wants to have more space and succeed in the field. The inspirations?
– First of all, Neymar. Then Sheik.
Just Emerson, who missed practice on Monday claiming a family problem.
– Yeah, I inspire myself in it in the field, not out. But I don't know much about him, I don't know. That's why I said that out of the field I don't inspire myself – he explained.
It was ten minutes of interview, pure sincerity, no malice. Happy with the performance ahead of the journalists, Malcolm continues training to await a new chance with Mano.
