Bragantino hires Corinthian Renan to supply lack of goalkeepers

With Leandro Exit Saints and Rafael I defended hurt, Bragantino decided to chase a new goalkeeper, which was announced on Monday by the Alvinegra board. It is Renan, who belongs to Corinthians and arrives for a loan period until the end of the season.

Leandro Santos, the current holder, has the contract to win and will leave the club, while Rafael Defendi, before the position, has his finger broken and still needs another 20 days to recover. This way, the board decided not to wait.

‘We’re having these problems in the goal and that’s why we got this gra from the Corinthians. We're gonna lose Leandro Santos, who won't renew his contract, and I defended that his finger is broken. That is why there was a certain urgency for hiring another goalkeeper’, said President Marco Chedid.

Renan, 23 years old, began his career at Avaí, a club for which he professionalized in 2009. After that, he accumulated passages by Corinthians, Vitória, Guarani, Botafogo-SP, his last club, and Estoril, from Portugal.
