The victory of Celta by 2 to 0 over Real Madrid, in the penultimate round of the Spanish Campeonto, must forever be marked in memory of the Brazilian attacker Charles, author of the goals of Vigo's team. The day after helping his team eliminate the title odds of the meringues, the player was still just joy.
– The party was very good, I celebrated a lot, because it is not always that you score two goals in one of the best teams in the world. I am very happy for me and for my team that demonstrated that we have a great team – the paraense said on the phone.
Now, Charles has 12 goals in the Spanish Championship, and practically secured the symbolic title of best Brazilian scorer of the competition, since Jonas, from Valencia, has 10 goals, and Neymar, from Barcelona, nine goals.
– I hadn't even noticed that suit. I am very happy to be the Brazilian with the most goals in Spain, mainly because I am ahead of stars such as Jonas and Neymar, who are players of Selection. It just makes me work harder to score goals and help my team be among the best – Charles celebrates.
Despite having had a very good season, the Brazilian was never considered on the lists of calls from Brazil by Mano Menezes and Luiz Felipe Scolari. On the eve of the World Cup, Charles, like any other athlete, does not hide that he would have liked to have been remembered, but knows the difficulties.
– Logically, I wish I had been reminded, because I was right here in Spain, but I know it's very difficult. We all have the dream of representing the selection of our country. If one day comes, it will be a dream, one of my greatest joys in life – he concluded.
