Paulinho played for the Corinthians for four years and was sold to Tottenham in June 2013 | Press Gazette

The Corinthians have until Tuesday to agree with their financial department to seek the funding of R$ 3,744,622.41 and pay the Sugar Bread Group the amounts related to the last tranche of the transaction of the midfielder Paulinho. The amount had to have been paid off on January 5, but until today the money has not been disbursed. The company had to file lawsuits and a court order was issued and can increase the amount by up to 20%.

The document was issued on last Friday determining the dispatch of the Corinthians citation warrant within three working days for payment of the parcel. Otherwise, the clubbing of São Jorge Park would have to add a 20% fine on the value, which would lead the amount to the R$ 4.4 million.

The publication in the Court of São Paulo says that an official of justice may even indicate assets of the club to the pawn if the imbroglio has no solution. The alvinegro club tries to seek a way to avoid the fine before even being cited judicially and to settle to pay only the initial amount of R$ 3.7 million.

Paulinho was sold to Tottenham (ING) in June last year by R$ 59 million euros (20 million euros), 50% of which would remain for the São Jorge Park team. The other half was the Audax - belonging to the Sugar Bread Group - owner of half of the player's pass, and the amounts were paid in installments.
