Pacaembu's departure to the Corinthians Arena is the realization of an old dream by Timão's fan. But it's a dream that's already costing dearly and causing revolt from much of the crowd. Tickets that previously cost R$ 40 now are costing R$ 180 (350% increase). Today, the most expensive entrance jumped from R$ 180 to R$ 400.
The increase in the prices of all tickets (see below) of the plans of the program Faithful Twister (My Twister, My Life, My Story, My Love and VIP) became the cause of complaints on social networks. Even an online public petition was created by charging the revision of the values.
One group of fans also intends to hold face-to-face protests against ticket values: Saturday, in São Jorge Park, and another on Sunday, minutes before the ball rolls to Corinthians x Figueirense, in Arena Corinthians, in duel valid for the fifth round of Brasileirão.
Aware of the pressure of the Alvinegra cheers, the board published on Tuesday morning an official note saying that "the club will miss and hit until align the service and the values it intends to offer to its fans". The statement also calls for "the understanding and patience of all to reach the ideal point – and the club promises to work hard, as already happens, so that it happens as soon as possible".
On the night of last Tuesday, the Blog Timão Preto no Branco warned about the triggering of prices and reminded Andrés Sanchez promise to lower the value of the most popular sectors (see how it should stay, if he fulfills what he promised).
For the confrontation of next Sunday, day 18, which will mark official inauguration of the Arena Corinthians, approximately 40,000 tickets were put on sale by the club. Ticket marketing began on Tuesday.
