Just over five months after the 2014 World Cup final, several clubs around the world gained a reason to celebrate. On Thursday, the European Club Association (ECA) announced the amount allocated to each team that had players summoned by at least one of the 32 teams present in the competition. Among Brazilians, the Atlético-MG profited the most, with an amount of approximately US$ 300,000 (R)$ 805,000) to receive. The highlight was for Bayern Munich, the base of the German national team, which earned about US$ 1.7 million (R$ 4.6 million).
The agreement between ECA and Fifa determined a US value$ 70 million (R)$ 187 million) for clubs that contributed to the selections. The total value per player is calculated by multiplying the number of days that the athlete was at the service of his selection for the World Cup by a daily value, fixed in US$ 2.8 thousand (R)$ 7.5 thousand).
The Galo de Minas Gerais had Victor and Jô summoned to the Brazilian team, who played all the possible matches until the decision of third place, against Holland. Botafogo, São Paulo, Palmeiras, Fluminense, Santos, International, Vasco, Corinthians, Flamengo and Grêmio will also receive an amount of the Association for having given players to selections that played the World Cup.
