The Corinthians barely had another significant drop this week. The quarterback Gil received a proposal from a large Italian team and refused the offer to leave São Jorge Park.

The quarterback currently receives about R$ 350,000 monthly. In negotiations with the Italian team whose name was not revealed, Gil asked for at least twice as much wages to go to Europe. The answer discouraged Europeans who cooled interest in the player.

The Italian team would be willing to offer around 6 million euros (R$ 25 million) to start talking to Corinthians for the quarterback. But with the athlete's negative, the club was discouraged to make new offers for the club São Paulo.

Gil has 90% of the economic rights linked to the Corinthians. The main defender in the hexacampeonato campaign, the quarterback aims to be Champion of Libertadores by the club and continue being summoned to the Brazilian team.
