The Cristian steering wheel gave a very sincere interview to the SporTV Selection on Tuesday. In the statements, the cheerleader idol in 2009 spoke of the bad phase he faced in his return to the Corinthians and the injuries.

– When you get hurt, it's hard, right? You have to prepare yourself well. We have professionals qualified for this (...). I always believed in myself, but then Tite had players who were better than me. They were physically fine, not hurt. That was the option he chose at that time. But I always believed in myself, believed in my football. I always believed I'd turn around. I guess all I needed to do was line up the things I needed: strength, recovery, and game sequence – I did.

Asked about the possible departure of the Corinthians at the beginning of the season, Cristian confirmed that Tite wanted to lend it to some team and even called him for a private conversation. However, talking to his family, the steering wheel decided to remain.

– In his opinion, (Tite) I should be borrowed. He came to talk to me, spoke openly and clearly as he always is with all the players. But I just really listened. I went home, sat with my family, with my son, with my wife and daughter to see what was good for me. At that moment my wife told me to rest and reflect, since no one would take my story away from the Corinthians. She said I was supposed to keep working because eventually the opportunity would arise – she revealed.

Making it clear that he never had a problem with Coach Tite, Cristian spoke about the importance of the coach in the Alvinegro cast.

– I'll make it very clear I've never had a problem with Tite. Tite has always been honest with everyone, not just me, but with other players too. I think he was honest, real. I think for the player this is very important, the person being honest and true. But it is part of football (...). I had to work every day and gained strength.

The steering wheel will be starting on Wednesday, in confrontation with Santos, at 9 pm, for the fifth round of Brasileirão 2016.
