Tite's third passage by the Corinthians was already right before Mano Menezes was fired in 2014. The current Corinthian coach already knew he would be the new coach of the club before the last match of the former alvinegro commander.

In his book, written by journalist Camila Mattoso, and released last Wednesday at Arena Corinthians, Tite says that he was sought by Timão's board several times during the year 2014.

In the book, Tite says he accepted the invitation on the morning of December 6, 2014, date of Mano Menezes' last match by Corinthians, but the announcement only officially took place on December 15 of that year, and his presentation at the club in January 2015.

" Until one day, 11 in the morning, I decided. In the afternoon there was going to be the last Brazilian game. It was Corinthians in the Itaquera Arena against the Criciúma and Inter was playing against Figueirense. And I was feeling really bad at home. Because it looked like I was going to make a decision based on what happened that afternoon," explains Tite, in her book.

That year, Corinthians and International were competing for the third and fourth place of the national, one gave the direct vacancy and the other a vacancy for the pre-Liberators. According to the book, the International proposal was twice what Timon was offering. Afraid of being called an explorer, Tite decided before the round ended.

Tite signed with Corinthians for three years from January 2015. So far, there are 371 games by Timão – with 99 matches only in the third pessage.
