One of the highlights of Bétis, from Spain, the Petros steering wheel recently rejected a proposal to return to Brazilian football. Palmeiras officially tried to hire the player and heard a ‘no’ for an answer. Former Corinthians, the player explained his decision to Radio Bandeirantes.

"I did receive an official Palmeiras proposal earlier this year. I didn't think it was the right time to return to Brazil because I feel happy here in Spain," he said.

At 27, Petros is a key player in the Spanish team. Last weekend, he appeared on world sports media after applying a beautiful hat to Lionel Messi. Asked if the Corinthians weighed in his decision not to go to the club aliverde, he denied.

"I'd play no problem at any club. I have a lot of respect for Corinthians, it was thanks to him that I appeared for world football, but I am professional", he concluded.

Petros arrived in 2014 at the Corinthians and was a titular throughout Mano Menezes' season. It was 63 games and four goals.
