Eliminated by the International in penalties at Arena Corinthians, the commanders of Fábio Carille had to decide who would be the collectors of penalties. One fact drew attention: Rodriguinho, one of the team leaders, asked not to charge.

In a collective after the elimination, Fábio Carille revealed that the sock felt untrusted for charging, and so decided to put young William Arana – who lost the penalty – to beat.

"I talked to Rodriguinho, we brought Jadson inside, he retreated further, he was suffering a little bit. Then he didn't feel confident about it. That's part of it. We have to listen to the athlete too. So we decided to go to Arana," Carille revealed.

Rodriguinho tried to explain himself after the confrontation. According to the sock, the knee pains got in the way and he chose not to charge.

" At that moment, the most confident player is the one to hit. The official collector is Jadson, he's got Jo. He (Carille) asked if I wanted to knock and I told him that I was tired with a sore knee, but that if he wanted I could beat. He asked other players and felt more confidence in other players. That's what happened. Unfortunately we can't win," he explained.
