The collective interview of coach Fábio Carille after the victory over Mirassol by 1 to 0 in Itaquera, last Wednesday, reserved a scold to Paraguayan attacker Ángel Romero.
To journalists, Carille commented on the episode involving Romero and Santos, when the alvinegro player classified the beach team as ‘small’ after the draw in 1 to 1 in Pacaembu stadium. Asked if the Paraguayan had stayed in the reserve bank against Mirassol because of the controversy, the Alvinegro coach responded and sent a message to Romero.
"The decision wasn't about what happened on Sunday. He has to take responsibility, he is no longer a boy, we have to wait, the situation is directed, Carille started.
"The idea of preserving him, as I have Clayson and he's starting, Clayson wouldn't play in Ribeirão, even if he wasn't suspended. It was a physical matter. To have a fuller team following the year," he completed.
The Corinthians will play again next Sunday for the Paulista Championship. In front of Botafogo-SP, Timão already ranked performs the last match of the group stage of the competition. Romero will be the head of the confrontation.
