The Corinthians announced another reinforcement on Monday (30). After hitting Sergio Díaz, from Real Madrid, Timão signed with Ángelo Araos, acquired with Universidad de Chile. The 21-year-old Chilean half is in the club until July 2023.
Araos arrives at Timon with the mission of replacing Rodriguinho, sold to Egyptian football in recent days. The young man stood out in Liberators of the current season even being eliminated with the Universidad still in the group phase.
For 100% of the player's economic rights, Timon paid the amount of US$ 4 million (R)$ 17.1 million). The registered contract is a loan for a year. However, after this period, Araos will sign a contract for four more seasons. This was a requirement of the Universidad de Chile, which usually acts like this in negotiations in order to avoid caps.
The Chilean fourth in the history of the Corinthians, the six-foot half was revealed by the Chilean Deportes Antofagasta.
