"Passing to thank the board, the affection and support of the fans, I hope to arrive as soon as possible to join the group for a great season together. I will give my life for this club!" said Everaldo.
Coach Umberto Louzer spoke about the hiring and revealed to know Everaldo since the days of St. Benedict, of Sorocaba.
"(Everaldo is) an athlete who emerged very well at St. Benedict's in Sorocaba, then made a brilliant championship for Fluminense, went to the Corinthians, but failed to repeat these performances due to an injury he had. But now, already recovered, he showed interest in coming to Sport. It was a negotiation that was already underway before my arrival," he said.
"Of course, a player of this level, with this quality, always adds to the cast. So you're more of an athlete who's enough to add quality. We hope he can come and relive his good moments," he concluded.
Everaldo leaves Corinthians with four goals scored in 36 games by the club São Paulo.
