Coach Vítor Pereira gave a press conference after the victory of Corinthians over Botafogo, by 3 to 1, this Sunday (10), a game valid for the debut of the Brazilian Championship of 2022.
VP commented on the cheer protests last week and stressed that respect is important for the group and the technical committee. Next, the Portuguese sent a message to the players. "We represent a lot of people, and a lot of poor people who save to go to the stadium this week," he said.
With the victory, the Corinthians occupies the vice-leadership of the BR, behind the Coritiba. The next People's Team match in the competition takes place next Saturday, before Avaí, in Itaquera.
"The charge made within respect is important to me and them. We realize that we can't lower our level, we represent a lot of people, and a lot of poor people who to go to the stadium save in the week, people who lack food at the table to go to the stadium. We talked about this. God has blessed us to do what we like and we are well paid for it. We must not forget that we represent many people, many millions, poor people, that is the spirit in the field," said VP.
