Coach Vítor Pereira gave a press conference after the victory of Corinthians over Botafogo, by 3 to 1, this Sunday (10), a game valid for the debut of the Brazilian Championship of 2022.
VP commented on the cheer protests last week and stressed that respect is important for the group and the technical committee. Next, the Portuguese sent a message to the players. "We represent a lot of people, and a lot of poor people who save to go to the stadium this week," he said.
With the victory, the Corinthians occupies the vice-leadership of the BR, behind the Coritiba. The next People's Team match in the competition takes place next Saturday, before Avaí, in Itaquera.
"The charge made within respect is important to me and them. We realize that we can't lower our level, we represent a lot of people, and a lot of poor people who to go to the stadium save in the week, people who lack food at the table to go to the stadium. We talked about this. God has blessed us to do what we like and we are well paid for it. We must not forget that we represent many people, many millions, poor people, that is the spirit in the field," said VP.

BRASILEIRON
"It's not easy. This championship has a feature I'm learning. We came to play against a Botafogo with 40,000 people in euphoria. In Portugal, we only get that in the big games. I've seen it many times. The environment is not easy, the competition is not easy, the sequence of games is great, the space between them is short, I am trying to adapt and to understand the characteristics of this league well so that the team remains competitive and does not happen as it has already happened, to reach the semifinal of Paulistan without the ability to be competitive."
CHANGES IN THE TEAM
"The only way I see to keep our team competitive is by doing this management. It is not possible to play today with a team and on Wednesday with the same. We were going to condemn our next game, which is fundamental in Liberators."
AUGUST RENATO
"The management of Renato: we talked, is a natural leader, if there was a need to go to play, we would manage a little, mix youth with experience (in the second stage), it was agreed that if necessary he would go to the field, but we did not feel the need. He's got a chance to get to the clean, zeroed fourth, and I think we did good."
