In a recent interview, Cuiabá’s Portuguese technician praised Timão’s commander. Antonio revealed that VP is a reference to him long before the compatriot landed in São Jorge Park.
"Vítor is a huge reference, and it is not because he is already in Brazil, he was once one of my great references as a football coach," he said.
António was hired by Cuiabá the week the midwest team won the Corinthians in Cuiabá by Brasileirão, but was not in the reserve bank for the short time that had been announced.
The Corinthians has 47 points and seeks to consolidate itself in G4, while the Cuiabá is in the lowering zone.
