The coach Mano Menezes, one of the main responsible for the early elimination of Corinthians still in the group phase of the Paulista Championship of 2024, granted an interview for the program "Last Lance", the TNT Sports, and explained how the conversation was with the new board of Corinthians about recasting the cast.
According to Mano, if the board of directors led by President Augusto Melo had claimed that he had another plan to run the team, he would have left Timão. The coach said he would do the right thing even with the previous board and would have left the Corinthians.
"If they told me they had other plans for coaching, I would have taken my bag and made a hit, even with the previous board, and would have left. But I was told that I was important in the reformulation project, that I had already done twice in the club, and that was important as knowledge. They even said they didn't have that much, but I could make that contribution."

Mano Menezes was fired from the Corinthians on February 5, after a defeat for Novorizontino by the score of 3 to 1, inside the Neo Química Arena in Paulistan. The technician was also involved in a controversy with the attacker Yuri Alberto that reflected in all countries
