On the night of Wednesday (30), Cruzeiro secured his spot in the final of the South American Cup by winning the Lanús by 1 to 0, in the stadium La Fortaleza, in Argentina. The only goal of the match was scored by Kaio Jorge, at the beginning of the second half, ensuring the ranking of the mining team.

The one-way game had ended with a tie of 1 to 1 at the Mineirão, and the victory outside the house consolidated the Cruise's passage to the decision of the continental tournament. The victory goal emerged after a move by Gabriel Veron, who stopped in Losada's defense, but in the rebound, Kaio Jorge did not waste and rock the nets, establishing himself as the team's goalkeeper in the competition.

During the game, the Cruise showed defensive solidity and was able to exploit the counterattacks well. The Lanús team tried to press, especially with aerial moves, but failed to overcome the Cruzeireense defense nor the goalkeeper Cassio, who made important defenses during the match.

Now, the Cruise awaits the winner between Racing and Corinthians, who face each other next Thursday (31), to know who will be their opponent in the grand final.

The South American final will be in single play on November 23, at La Nueva Olla Stadium in Asunción, Paraguay.
