O Superior Tribunal de Justiça Desportiva (STJD) decidiu por unanimidade manter o confronto entre Corinthians e Flamengo, volta das semifinais da Copa do Brasil, para o dia 20 de outubro.
Corinthians e Vasco solicitaram a alteração das datas. Nos bastidores do Parque São Jorge, o clima já não era de muito otimismo pela alteração, que se confirma nesta sexta-feira (11).
O Corinthians foi derrotado pelo placar de 1 a 0 no confronto de ida diante do Flamengo, no Maracanã.
No dia 01 de outubro, vale lembrar, o Corinthians publicou nota oficial criticando duramente a CBF e informando que havia acionado o STJD.

The Sport Club Corinthians Paulista comes to the public expressing its concern about the integrity of the Brazilian Championship and the Brazilian Cup, fundamental pillars of national football. The recent decision of the Brazilian Confederation of Football (CBF) to change the dates of the semifinal of the Cup of Brazil disrespects the regulation, compromising the isonomy between clubs and, mainly, endangering the credibility of competitions.
Rather than defending its own interests, Corinthians reinforces the importance of decisions following what has been established, in favor of the preservation of fair, competitive and transparent Brazilian football. The integrity of competitions must be a priority, above any external influence, and the club will continue to fight for respect for the regulation to be maintained in all spheres.
In defense of these principles and to ensure justice in competitions, the Corinthians took the measure of entering with an action in the Superior Court of Sports Justice (STJD), questioning the change made by CBF without due respect for the regulation and the clubs involved. The club expects the court to reestablish previously agreed dates, preserving the smoothness and balance of competitions.
