The Corinthians is the São Paulo champion of 2025! On the night of Thursday (27), Timão held the goalless draw against Palmeiras, at Neo Química Arena, and guaranteed the state title, after having won the one-way game at Allianz Park 1 to 0.
First time fought and with ball on the beam
With the advantage of the aggregate score, the Corinthians entered the defense-focused field and made the offensive actions of Palmeiras difficult. The first half was marked by many faults and few clear opportunities. Best chance came at 27 minutes, when Garro got it from Memphis and dropped a bomb from the area entrance. The ball exploded on the beam, scaring Weverton.
On the alviverde side, the team tried to push, but failed to create great chances. Hugo Souza, goalkeeper of Corinthians, practically did not work in the first stage.
Penalty and expulsion mark second electrifying time
