O Corinthians finished the preparation to face the Barra FC, on Tuesday (21), at 9:30 p.m. (from Brasilia), in Ressacada, game of one-off for the fifth stage of the Copa do Brasil 2026.
Aiming for recovery in the Brazilian Championship, coach Fernando Diniz chose to use mixed team in the confrontation. The attack, for example, must be formed by Lingard, Kayke and Pedro Raul.
Before the match, the right-side Matheuzinho commented on the confrontation. The defender must start among the holders after staying out against Vitória, in Barradão, on account of a suspension.
"The football game has 90 minutes played, regardless of the shirts represented in the field. Barra is a new team (founded in 2013), but is the champion of Santa Catarina. We'll get there respecting them in the best possible way, but we'll go after victory and ranking. Let's go with it," he said.
A likely Corinthians has: Kauê; Matheuzinho, André Ramalho, Gustavo Henrique and Fabrizio Angileri (Matheus Bidu); Allan (Raniele), Matheus Pereira, Dieguinho and Jesse Lingard; Kayke (Kaio César) and Pedro Raul.
Through official announcement, the Corinthians informed what Diniz worked on.
" After a video with tactical instructions in the Flexform Prelection Room and an activation at the academy, the cast performed two tactical exercises under the command of coach Fernando Diniz. The coach took advantage of the moment to work on various game situations. Stop ball shots were also worked."
