On April 23rd, Manchester City of England made a special publication for Attacker Jo, former Corinthians player.
Revealed at the base of Corinthians, the centroavante is highlighted as "idolo" of the club in São Paulo in the publication.
"On St. George's Day, we recall the passage of a @corinthians idol through the City. Around here, Jo was the 2010/11 England Cup champion. Happy Saint George's Day!", wrote the Brazilian profile of the English club.
Jo arrived at Manchester City in July 2008, hired by about £19 million, record value of the club at the time. The attacker, however, struggled to become the English team, scoring only six goals in 42 official matches.
At the Corinthians, where it was revealed, Jo had three striking passages. There were 284 games and 65 goals scored. In addition, he won four titles: two Brazilian Championships (2005 and 2017) and two Paulista Championships (2003 and 2017).
